Dirk’s fateful journey to becoming part of Twelve Twenty-Four began when he found a Twelve Twenty-Four flyer on his car after a TSO concert in Wilkes-Barre. Dirk regularly started attending our shows in Bethlehem. In 2009, Dirk left the audience and joined the band on stage!

Dirk has been playing the bass guitar for over forty years and he has played in a variety of different musical ensembles including orchestras, dance bands, jazz bands, and a brass chamber group.

He has also performed with various vocal groups including the Musical Arts Chorus and the Bangor Elks Men’s Chorus. Dirk’s theatrical experience includes playing bass for Godspell, the Pennsylvania Playhouse’s production of La Cage aux Folles, the Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre’s September 2016 production of Rock of Ages, the Act Out Theatre Group's spring 2017 production of Jesus Christ Superstar and The Shawnee Playhouse's summer 2017 production of One More for My Baby.  In 2018, Dirk performed in the Music Box Dinner Playhouse's production of Jesus Christ Superstar as well as American Idiot and Seussical at the Little Theatre.  During 2019, he performed in Shrek the Musical, Mamma Mia!, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Next to Normal.  After sitting out all of 2020 due to COVID-related limitations on live entertaining, in 2021, Dirk returned to the stage by playing bass for the Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre Rocky Horror Show.  During 2022, Dirk performed Footloose at both the Little Theatre and Kiss Theatre Company, as well as the Little Theatre's productions of Rent and the Rocky Horror Show.
